Guidelines For Application Procedure

STEP 1: Who can apply:

The candidate fulfilling all the below mentioned criteria will be eligible for getting admission to hostels run under Minority Welfare Dept. Government of Bihar.

STEP 2: Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant:

  1. Must belong to Minority Community.
  2. Must be studying in a recognized Institution/School/College/University or recognized technical institution of the District for which she/he is applying.

STEP 3: Documents required:

  1. Matric (Class Xth) (or equivalent) Certificate with date of birth of the applicant to be uploaded (Format: .pdf, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  2. Marksheet of Class Xth to be uploaded (Format: .pdf, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  3. Marksheet of the last exam passed to be uploaded. (Format: .pdf, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  4. Aadhaar card to be uploaded (Format: .pdf, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  5. Proof of admission to the /School/College/University/Institution, where the applicant is studying. (Format: .pdf, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  6. Recommendation letter from the Principal/Head of the Institution where the applicant has taken admission, recommending for admission to the Hostel, in the prescribed format, to be uploaded. (Format: .pdf, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)   Download Format 
  7. Savings Bank Account details with name of the Bank, Name of the applicant in the Bank Account, Account number, IFSC Code.
  8. Passport size photo of the candidate to be uploaded. (Format: .jpg/.jpeg, Dimension Size: 3.5cm x 4.5cm, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  9. Passport size photo of father to be uploaded. (Format: .jpg/.jpeg, Dimension Size: 3.5cm x 4.5cm, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  10. Passport size photo of visitor(s) to be uploaded (Format: .jpg/.jpeg, Dimension Size: 3.5cm x 4.5cm, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)
  11. Scanned signature of the Applicant. (Format: .jpg/.jpeg, Dimension Size: 3.5cm x 1.5cm, DPI: 200, Maximum File Size: 500KB)

Note: If you want to cancel the previous application and apply fresh, you may do so before the last date. Once the next application is submitted, it will override the previous application. The application number will also change.

  1. Original Date of Birth Certificate from Matric (Class Xth) or equivalent Certificate
  2. Marksheet of Matric (Class Xth) Exam.
  3. Marksheet of the last exam passed.
  4. Original Aadhaar Card
  5. Proof of admission to the /School/College/University/Institution, etc.
  6. Original Recommendation Letter from the Principal/Head of the Institution.
  7. Original Bank Account details – Pass Book/Account Statement signed and stamped by the Bank authority.

Note: Please bring a passport size photograph with name and application Id written at its back.

STEP 6: Undertaking signed by the Parents in the given format.

STEP 7: Time Schedule

1. 1st – 10th Forms available for online submission of applications by students
2. 11th – 12th Forms open for editing/re-submission by students
3. 15th Last date for submission of applications Form
4. 16th – 21st Approval of candidates for admission; Notification with list of approved candidate to be displayed on Department’s website; Email, mobile messages to be sent to candidates for admission, verification of documents and final selection. Copy to be marked to Superintendents.

An order letter along with the list of selected candidate and waiting list to be forwarded to the Superintendents by DMWOs.

5. 22nd – 28th Admission to Hostels – Formalities for admission/payment of fee, etc.
6. 29th List of provisional admissions/Cancellation of approval of failed admissions. Information to be sent to DMWOs.
7. 30th Final list of candidates admitted to various hostels/Vacancies in each Hostel displayed on the Department’s website
